Halo Studios lost the IP after fumbling the last few releases so it looks like it's going to be Activision making the next Halo game. A lot of people are upset about this but I don't see the issue.
This is a company known for decades of FPS war games being given the reigns of an FPS war game at least from a gameplay point I don't see how they could be any worse (it is Activision though so they very well could slip in micro transactions do we'll have to see)
I think of it this way, they made the 007 Quantum of Solace game, I've always loved the 007 games as stealth shooters to ith the occasional action sequences so I was skeptical of an Activision 007 title and while it wasn't exactly what I wanted (it was mostly an action game with very few stealth missions) it wasn't a terrible game and the multiplayer was great.
